The Chortle website also reports on the fan response.

Comedy show Campus was one of the most complained-about programmes on Channel 4 last month – although most of the objections were about the show being axed. The broadcaster decided to pull the plug on the university-set sitcom, from Green Wing creator Victoria Pile, averaged just 554,000 viewers over its first six episodes.

It was the show that attracted the second highest number of complaints in June – after the controversial documentary Sri Lanka’s Killing Fields – with 105 viewers contacting Channel 4. But a spokesman said that most of the complaints were about the axing.
