Joseph's guest role as Captain Branson in the Showtime series Penny Dreadful will be seen in episode 5 'Closer Than Sisters', and not episode 6 as I mistakenly posted on here. Three new, gorgeous, but sadly small photos of Joseph, have been shared by photographer Garry Lake on Tumblr. While the Australian end of shooting Banished finishes soon, a new interview with cast member Ned Dennehy has been shared online. He seems very excited about the production.

The Australian project is the most interesting of the lot, because it is this very interesting story of the start of the convict soldiers and female convicts in a prison camp in Australia with the natives. It should be a really big deal and I think it is a very interesting subject matter.

According to a new article on SMH.au Banished will complete filming in Sydney next Monday, before moving back to Manchester.

On the western bank of the dam, groups of abject prisoners and musket-carrying soldiers in scarlet coats go about their business among smoky cooking fires, mean canvas tents and rough-hewn slab huts. This pitch-perfect, extensive recreation of the settlement established at Sydney Cove by Arthur Phillip is the backdrop to a new seven-part epic TV series tracing the privations and challenges faced by the settlers.

A fantastic video clip of the Globe Theatre production of Macbeth, has been uploaded to You Tube by Opus Arte. It seems that Opus Arte may be releasing the DVD of the production, although I can see no dates for that yet.
