Campus: filming in the news

The recent filming of the new series of Campus in Bath has been in the press. The BBC & Comedy Central report that the news series is to be screened in early 2011.

Campus is set on the grounds of the fictional Kirke University and was commissioned as part of November's Comedy Showcase season. Dead Set actor Andy Nyman plays ruthless vice chancellor Jonty De Wolfe and told the BBC the show "is very funny and treads a very fine line". Campus is due to be screened early in 2011..."Some of it is very odd," he added. BBC News

The Bath Chronicle reported that filming has been at the University of  Bath.

Filming began at the University of Bath this week for a Channel 4 comedy which is expected to be shown in the new year. Campus, a six-part series about university and campus life, is being made after the success of a pilot shown in November and filmed at High Wycombe and Hackney.

Campus: new series starts filming

The new series of Campus starts filming tomorrow. I am sure Joseph is not as under-prepared as his tweet suggests; tho' he did say in an email during the week that he has a 3 month marathon of filming Campus by day, and singing in Love Never Dies by night ahead of him!

Campus: excellent Scotsman review

There is an excellent review of Joseph's performance in the Campus pilot in The Scotsman.

The standout was Joseph Millson's quite stunningly lazy English Literature lecturer and letch, who regards sleeping with his female students as a perk of the job and awards marks by randomly firing arrows at a target: a bullseye means they get a First. When a male student asks for help with an essay, he's told to go and Google it "and next time, be a girl".

Millson is great fun in this role, "a little bit Clooney, a little bit Basil Brush", as he describes himself.
