Cinderella : fan encounters of the short kind..

Mrs G from the forum posted her thoughts on today's matinee performance of Cinderella which she attended with her family (and mine). Photos have been added to the galleries.

Well - we had a lovely time today - the panto was great - the audience appreciative and Joseph has added a little jete to his pirouette in his dance after the shower - which certainly had all the ladies ( and a few men ) in the audience gasping and craning their necks. Good thing I wasn't next to kls010 or my ribs would have been black and blue from all the elbowing. We waited at the stage door afterwards and first met Dandini - who was adorable and really lovely and signed our kids programmes - and confessed to leaving the message on JM.com ! then Buttons (all the kids shrieked "Buttons, It's Buttons !!") who was equally fab. And then one of the dancers came back and asked if we were waiting for anyone particular and we said Joseph - so he went and got him !!! Apparently he had been having a sleep and appeared in his socks.

But he was such a sweetie - signed all the kids programmes - then recognised kls010 who was staying in the shadows and asked if this performance was better than the last one she'd been too - and then posed for some pics with the kids. And then we went, sighing happily, off to the BFI with EW from Germany, who came especially to see Cinderella, and sadly had been poorly and didnt get to ask Joseph for his autograph.

Cinderella

Cinderella is such a lovely and gorgeous panto. I have never seen a panto before and I absolutely loved it. The audience did very well and the children liked it very much.
Lovely Joseph came out to the stage door to sign the programmes especially for our little group - after a great show, indeed! He was brilliant on stage. I am so glad, I finally could see the play (thanks to kls010). (EW)

From Mrs G

I would like to point out I don't usually gush quite so much but this was my first time at a stage door (obviously having had a sheltered youth) and I was worried that people would be busy and not want to bother with a gaggle of kids and some slightly embarrassed mums. But they were all lovely and Kathryn went home on the train hugging her programme and telling anyone who would listen that she had got autographs from Prince Charming, Buttons AND Dandini. Even Tom who is now 10 and loves to be very cool about stuff was impressed and plucked up courage to ask Joseph if he would write "To Kathryn AND Tom" in the Programme. I guess I thought it would be nice if the people involved knew that it was a memorable bit of the afternoon for the kids (and their Mums!). I should also mention Buttons' sister, who came out first and said "there are some little people out here to see you" and then added "I'm Buttons sister, by the way!".

lol...I dont frequent stage

lol...I dont frequent stage doors either and didnt quite get away with hiding completely as was my plan today when the little ones wanted autographs...I must say a huge thanks as they were all so very kind and lovely to the short ones. Kiss

I am off to ebay to sell the autographs now...

Lol, how much are you

Lol, how much are you expecting to make from them? ;) <-- Is that supposed to look like a wink?

Sounds like you all had a memorable day. The short people as well as the less short people. :P

Mrs G is the tall one...I am

Mrs G is the tall one...I am the short round wrinkly one. So I include myself in with the other shorties. And the going rate for Joseph's autograph is £24.99 apparently so if I gather them all together they can pay for my next theatre trip ;). Its a genius plan...just dont tell my girls...Sealed

You could never part with

You could never part with those pictures! Glad you all had a lovely day.

Mrs G again !

Noone has ever described me as "the tall one" before - so I am flattered. I shall treat karen to the next JM stage outing so she doesn't rip the programmes from her bairns trembling fingers to flog on eBay. I was wondering after "Ring around the Moon" is back, if they may revive "The Rehearsal" - Joseph would be fab in it and enough breeches to satisfy us all...

oooohh now I am

oooohh now I am excited...and bairns have now stopped crying!! Is this a very late birthday pressie? *flutters eyelashes* I dont think I could bring myself to pester Joseph yet again for an autograph by the stage door, he will be seeing me in his nightmares lol...although poor EW was too poorly to remember to get her programme signed the other day...

More breeches you say...*fans self*
